My Thoughts:

First let me start my review by stating I honestly wasn't expecting myself to fall in love with the book and the characters. But there is something enchanting about Marie Lu's writing that just captures you and won't let go from beginning to the end.

With that being said. I'm still wrapping my thoughts from all that went down in Legend. What got to me the most is I could totally see this being a reality. Also processing all the ups and downs both Day and June went through together and apart.

They grew up more as the book process. Their world's were brought together for a reason.

I cannot wait to see the reasons. Luckily I have book two from the library all ready for me to pick up.

So if you have been heistaned about picking up this book you should just do so.

Also read it in 2 days. That's awesome for someone who was taking a few days to finish one book.

5/5 stars, I'd give a million if I could!!!!

A Shade of Vampire by Bella Forrest

Sofia's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn when she is the one selected out of hundreds of girls to join the harem of Derek Novak, the dark royal Prince.

Despite his addiction to power and obsessive thirst for her blood, Sofia soon realizes that the safest place on the island is within his quarters, and she must do all within her power to win him over if she is to survive even one more night.

Will she succeed? ...or is she destined to the same fate that all other girls have met at the hands of the Novaks?"

 My Thoughts:

Was given this from the author for an honest review.

This isn't like any of the other vampire books I've read. In A Shade Of Vampire, the vampires live on a reclusive island called The Shade. Some of the guards or even the vampires going looking for humans to be their slaves.

Sofia is chosen to be Derek's slave. But with his bloodlusted brother Lucas always threading her life. Sofia becomes more to Derek. Together they will change the fate of the vampires and the royal family.

I really enjoyed Bella 's take on the vampires. That they lived on an island of darkness and weren't afraid to share their lust for blood. And how Derek resisted the urge to drink Sofia's. How she changed him to be more human. And he changed her from seeing him as a coldblooded killer.

For those of you who enjoy vampires that are strong, true to what vampires are then I'd recommend reading this.

All in all, a great read and an awesome start to a series. I look forward to seeing where Sofia and Derek end up.

Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood

Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood
Released: February 7th, 2012
Publisher: Putnam Juvenile
Series: The Cahill Witch Chronicles, Book One
Page Amount: 330, US Hardback edition
Source: Library

"Everybody knows Cate Cahill and her sisters are eccentric. Too pretty, too reclusive, and far too educated for their own good. But the truth is even worse: they’re witches. And if their secret is discovered by the priests of the Brotherhood, it would mean an asylum, a prison ship—or an early grave.

Before her mother died, Cate promised to protect her sisters. But with only six months left to choose between marriage and the Sisterhood, she might not be able to keep her word... especially after she finds her mother’s diary, uncovering a secret that could spell her family’s destruction. Desperate to find alternatives to their fate, Cate starts scouring banned books and questioning rebellious new friends, all while juggling tea parties, shocking marriage proposals, and a forbidden romance with the completely unsuitable Finn Belastra.

If what her mother wrote is true, the Cahill girls aren’t safe. Not from the Brotherhood, the Sisterhood—not even from each other."

My Thoughts:
Although it took me until towards the end to be captured by Born Wicked. I am so glad I didn't give up. Didn't see the choices Cate made. Can only hope things turn around in Star Cursed, which is the sequel.

If you love historical fiction books with some supernatural elements to it. Then this book is for you. I love books during and after the Salem Witch Trials.

All in all really awesome book. 5/5 stars
