Update and A Mini Book Haul

Hello My Book Peeps, I see I've gotten so new followers. Thank you for following my blog and my followers for sticking by and reading my blog. I know I'm not very activate. Next month I'm going to blog everyday. Not sure what all I will have to talk about. I haven't been reading a whole lot this month. So if you have any ideas on what I could post on my blog. Please let me know in the comments. I am currently reading a non YA book that is called Beautiful Boy: A Father's Journey Through His Son's Addiction by David Sheff, its a non-fiction adult book. I actually am loving it. I'm taking my time because the contest of this novel is hard to read at times. However if you're an adult and like to read this type of book. I recommend you doing so.

Now for the mini book haul:
Along For The Ride by Sarah Dessen
Poison: A Novel Of The Renaissance by Sara Poole
Blood Ties (The Searchers #2) by Sharon Sala
Driftwood Cottage (Chesapeake Shores, #5) by Sherryl Woods

Happy Reading, Ashley

My Thoughts:
For those fans that love the House Of Night series by P.C. and Kristen Cast. Will love The Fledgling Handbook 101 by P.C. Cast with Kim Doner. This is a perfect companion to the series. I loved learning what a fledgling learns from the moment they are marked. The history facts have been changed. However I did find it interesting none the less. The pictures are absolutely gorgeous. I am so happy to have read and have this amazing book to add to my House Of Night series. I think you all should check it out.

5/5 stars!

Misfit by Jon Skovron

Misfit by Jon Skorvon
Released: August 1st 2011
Publisher: Amulet Books
Page Amount: 384 (US Hardcover Edition)

"Jael has always felt like a freak. She’s never kissed a boy, she never knew her mom, and her dad’s always been superstrict—but that’s probably because her mom was a demon, which makes Jael half demon and most definitely not a normal sophomore girl. On her sixteenth birthday, a mysterious present unlocks her family’s dangerous history and Jael’s untapped potential. What was merely an embarrassing secret before becomes a terrifying reality. Jael must learn to master her demon side in order to take on a vindictive Duke of Hell while also dealing with a twisted priest, best-friend drama, and a spacey blond skater boy who may have hidden depths.
Author Jon Skovron takes on the dark side of human nature with his signature funny, heartfelt prose."

My Thoughts:
I felt this novel was slow pace throughout the storyline. I did enjoy the flashbacks into Jael’s past. Learning about her mother more. Watching her come to terms with who she is and what she had to do to keep the world and her family and friends safe.

Jael has felt a part of her missing her whole life. It isn’t until her sixteenth birthday that she learns the truth of who and what she is. Jael is a half-breed, a half mortal and half demon. Her mother died, to save Jael and her father. Upon learning the truth she is faced with having to deal with the evil demon .

Jael takes on Hell and wins. Well for now anyways! *Got from Netgalley*

4/5 stars!
