April Wrap Up 2018

2018 is going by so fast. TOO FAST... at least it feels that way to me. April was an okay month for me,

April Wrap Up 2018:

  • Seduced by 2 by Kam Crimson 3/5 stars (reread)
  • Filthy Scrooge by Taryn Quinn 4/5 stars (wanted to read a Christmas story since Mother Nature couldn't decide if it was Winter or Spring)
  • Unwrapped by Taryn Quinn 4/5 stars
  • Beautiful Chaos by Kami Garica and Margaret Stohl 3/5 stars (this book took me most of March into April to finish. I believe once I finish the series the books are finding a new home)
  • Wild In Love by Bella Andre and Jennifer Skully 5/5 stars
  • Too Easy by Willow Winters 3/5 stars
6 books.... Not too bad.

That is a wrap on April 2018. What books did you read in April?

Weekend Reading Updates

Yeah so I didn't read much....oops.... Went to the track. There was rain in the forecast. I thought maybe it would get rained out. However mother nature held off... Although my brother did really well in the hot lap sessions and the heat race. He had the back axel come off. Good thing is we're off for the next 3 weeks. Time to get the car fixed and adding a new sponsor.

Hoping to make some progress tonight with A Court of Thorns and Roses. Maybe even finish it. That would be great.

How was your weekend? Get any reading done?

Weekend Reading Plans 4/26/2018

The Dewey's 24hr readathon is this weekend. I am taking part in it. Hoping to read alot. April has been a reading slugish month for myself. Maybe that has alot to do with what is on my mind. Won't go into details just personal issues. Reading should be my escape from it. I find myself watching tv instead of picking up a book. I am currently rereading A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. My plans were to have reread the trilogy in order to read A Court of Frost and Starlight, which I have preorder on Nook app. Slowly working my through the first book. I hope the readathon helps me get back into reading again. I think I've been in a love/hate relationship with reading for a while now. I want so badly to love reading again. Which was the whole point of me not doing a Goodreads challenge this year.

Anyways my weekend reading plans is to get through A Court of Thorns and Roses, I'm 22% done. I might pick up some small books, like Goosebumps or Shivers. Just so I am reading something. Maybe a kindle book. I don't have a set TBR. It's going to be a rainy weekend here in Central PA. Perfect reading weather.

Are you taking part in the Dewey's 24hr readathon? What books are you hoping to get through? Let me know it the comments down below.

"Daniel Spencer is proud of the billion-dollar business he's built, but there are few things he enjoys more than creating something with his bare hands. Lake Tahoe has everything he's looking for--the lakefront cabin he's building for family and friends to enjoy, crystal clear water and lush green mountains. Everything except the perfect woman to share it with. Until Tasha Summerfield literally falls into his arms.

After learning that her family has lied to her for pretty much her entire life, Tasha flees San Francisco for the mountains. As she tries to bury her heartache by hammering her dilapidated cabin back together, the last thing she expects is to fall for a sexy billionaire. But when a storm blows in and she desperately needs help, there is Daniel, waiting with open arms.

Tasha believes Daniel deserves a woman from a perfect, loving, tight-knit family like his. Yet how can she possibly resist a man this sweet and generous...who looks positively sinful in his tool belt? With every delicious taste of him, Tasha finds it harder to quell the hopes and dreams she thought were crushed forever. But when it turns out that Daniel's family isn't picture perfect after all, will the truth set them both free? Or will it destroy any chance they ever had?"

My Review:
I received an ebook ARC of Wild In Love from the publisher exchange for an honest review. I have adore each and every Maverick Billionaires so far. Wild In Love is no exception. We meet Daniel Spencer the last hold of the brothers to fall in love. It isn't the perfect romance he was hoping for. However he knows he can't imagine a life without Tasha Summerfield.

Tasha came to the Lake Tahoe mountains to escape the mess her father made in a con business. Upon meeting Daniel, she realizes maybe it is time to face her past in order to have a future with Daniel.

Their story is perfectly imperfect. They are each their for one another. I am so happy to have read their story. I look forward to anymore from the Mavericks down the road.

My Review:
I tend to stay away from books that are hyped up. Sometimes I love them. Sometimes I hate them. Daughter of the Pirate King fell into the love spot. I was hooked from the chapter sampler. I bought it for $10.00 on the Nook app. I am so glad I gave this a chance. The entire time I picture Pirates of the Carribean. I am hoping to pick up the sequel soon.

What I've Read, and What Have Been Up To

Hello My Fellow Bookworms, I haven't made a post since the last day of March. I'm sorry for that. Been busy with life and reading. Racing season has begun!!! There was a practice session on the 31st of March. The first race of the season was Saturday 14th.... My brother broke the back axel. He was in seventh place and doing really well. Hopefully the car will be fixed. There is a race this coming Sunday April 22nd.

As far as reading goes I've read a few books so far in April.... I feel a reading slump coming on.

*Beautiful Chaos by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl 3/5 stars
This book took me 2 months to finish.... Thus why I am in a reading slump
* Unwrapped by Taryn Quinn 4/5 stars
Reading fluffy romance books helps me when in a reading slump... yes it was a Christmas story. Don't give me that look. Spring isn't acting like spring here in Central PA.
* Flithy Scrooge by Taryn Quinn 4/5 stars
* Mountain Man Candy by Frankie Love 4/5 stars

Currently reading Wild In Love by Bella Andre and Jennifer Skully. It is an ebook ARC. I'm 39% in and really liking it.

Not sure what I will read after that. I want to reread the A Court Of Thorns and Roses trilogy to get read for A Court Of Frost Starlight. I have it preorder for my Nook app on my phone!!

My brother's roadrunner for the 2018 season. We have a new sponsor Frank's Electrical Construction and will be adding another soon.

Happy Reading and Racing, Ashley!!!
