While he picked her up and put her back together, they grew closer over the summer. Now that school has started, he’s found popularity thanks to his band Cate’s Ashes, and he’s hiding secret phone calls and text messages. Plus, did his ex-girlfriend just appear out of the blue at his show? Forcing Lacey to wonder if he’s over the feelings he pronounced for her at the beginning of summer. Add to the tension, a realization and secret of her own to keep about her worse enemy. Lacey vows to be the bigger person and keep Byron’s revelation, but what will it cost?

Meanwhile, as Lana tries to find herself again after her suicide attempt, she’s befriended by the school’s resident bad girl, Britt, and new chicano boy, Tomas, in the same week. Britt offers unconditional acceptance that Lana didn’t realize she craved, while Tomas brings out the best in her, and makes her feel alive again. Britt is dangerous and daring, while Tomas exudes security and safety. Vices come easily when you are already addicted to something you crave, and Lana muddles through figuring out who she wants to be.

With their parents constantly arguing, and their dad moving into the guest bedroom, the pressure on the girls may explode destroying them all. Is there a place for happiness when their world is crumbling around them?"

My Thoughts:
Given for an honest review from Entwined Publishing.

Following becoming a butterfly this is the summer after something happened in the first book.

The Baxter family tries to pick up the shattered pieces of their family. However its not fixable.

This is told from Lacey's point of view and her younger sister Lana. Both girls changed for the better in this installment if the series.

The ending was just stunning. I can't wait to see what becomes of Lacey, Chase, and Lana.

Becoming A Butterfly by Mia Castile

Becoming A Butterfly by Mia Castile
Released: May 22nd 2012 (first released April 2012)
Publisher: Entwined Publishing
Series: The Butterfly Chronicles, Book One
Page Amount: 275, US Paperback
Source: Enwtined Publishing, e-book

"Sixteen year old Lacey was never the center of attention, unless she was tripping, stammering, or being deposited into a pool by the local popular kids. All she wanted was to fit in, until one night when everything changed.
Jade and Tasha, her two best friends, helped her create an online personality that was everything she wanted to be– and it was only the beginning. In doing so, she attracted the attention of Henry, her lifelong crush and next door neighbor. Unfortunately, it was Farrah, her online personality and not herself, he was interested in.
She also attracted Chase, the brooding, quiet, anti-social new kid of Brownsburg High School, who easily figured out her secret and blackmailed her. They forged a friendship that was both unique and complicated.
Lacey must decide if revealing herself to Henry and her entire school as the cool, charming, and funny Farrah is worth possibly losing him forever. She finds herself needing to make an even harder decision than she ever thought possible. When did the lines between truth and lies get so blurred?

Becoming a Butterfly is a story about coming of age and finding yourself when you never knew you were lost.

**This is a MATURE YA FICTION SERIES."

My Thoughts:
Given for an honest review from Entwined Publishing.

I was in a reading rut. I decided to give Becoming a Butterfly a chance. To my surprise I was hooked into the plot. I felt like I was Lacey. She comes off as an insecure girl who is constantly bullied in school by her peers. I could relate to that part of the story. I understood the appeal of her pretending to be Farrah, she was popular and everyone wanted to be her friend.

I didn't see all the chaos that was brought into the storyline. Really loved the characters and the storyline. I am very grateful to have been given an opportunity to review this.

Looking forward to reading more in this series and from Mia.

My Thoughts:
I recieved for review from NetGalley for an honest review.

Following Allie a year after she dropped Zeke and the group to Eden. She is trying to find her sire Kanin, from the psycho vampire Sarren. Along the way she runs into her blood brother Jackal, The Raider King. Deciding its better to have him on her side to face Sarren. They continue on to find their sire. But someone from Allie's past makes an surprsing appearance. Being pushed to one extreme to the next, Allie is forced to face the demon insider her. In order to help everyone.

I was quite shocked by this book. Julie certainly knows how to keep her readers on the edge of their seats. The Eternity Cure is an amazing follow up to The Immortal Rules. I'm still in awe of how things turned out. All I can say is if you loved The Immortal Rules then you will need to pick this up!!!!

I need to read book three right now!!!!

My Thoughts :
Continuing on Alanna's journey to becoming a knight. Throughout her training she is pushed and forced to face her fears.  That she didn't want to confront.

I loved In the Hands of the Goddess even more than Alanna. Alanna grew up more in this installment of the series. She became a fearless fighter. There were definitely moments I didn't see coming, and also moments I was cheering for her.

Cannot wait to read The Woman Who Rides Like A Man, to see what becomes Alana on her next adventure. As well as the other charming characters in this series.

5/5 stars, Happy Reading, Ashley
