"For months part-angel Clara Gardner trained to face the raging forest fire from her visions and rescue the alluring and mysterious Christian Prescott from the blaze. But nothing could prepare her for the fateful decisions she would be forced to make that day, or the startling revelation that her purpose—the task she was put on earth to accomplish—is not as straightforward as she thought.

Now, torn between her increasingly complicated feelings for Christian and her love for her boyfriend, Tucker, Clara struggles to make sense of what she was supposed to do the day of the fire. And, as she is drawn further into the world of part angels and the growing conflict between White Wings and Black Wings, Clara learns of the terrifying new reality that she must face: Someone close to her will die in a matter of months. With her future uncertain, the only thing Clara knows for sure is that the fire was just the beginning."

My Thoughts:
I had mixed feelings going into this because I liked Unearthly, I didn't love it. I had the same experience with Hallowed. I do love books on the angel myths.

Anyways in Hallowed Clara is face with many life changing events. There are alot of twists and turns. You won't know what will happen next. Clara learns more about herself and who she truly is.

I love Tucker!! I will read the next one just to have more of a Tucker fix.

The Immortal Rules
by Julie Kagawa
Publication Date: April 24th
From Goodreads:

"In a future world, Vampires reign. Humans are blood cattle. And one girl will search for the key to save humanity.

Allison Sekemoto survives in the Fringe, the outermost circle of a vampire city. By day, she and her crew scavenge for food. By night, any one of them could be eaten.

Some days, all that drives Allie is her hatred of them. The vampires who keep humans as blood cattle. Until the night Allie herself is attacked—and given the ultimate choice. Die… or become one of the monsters.

Faced with her own mortality, Allie becomes what she despises most. To survive, she must learn the rules of being immortal, including the most important: go long enough without human blood, and you will go mad.

Then Allie is forced to flee into the unknown, outside her city walls. There she joins a ragged band of humans who are seeking a legend—a possible cure to the disease that killed off most of humankind and created the rabids, the mindless creatures who threaten humans and vampires alike.

But it isn't easy to pass for human. Especially not around Zeke, who might see past the monster inside her. And Allie soon must decide what—and who—is worth dying for."

Julie Kagawa is one of my favorite YA authors. When I read about this novel I was so excited to read it. I love vampires, and Julie's writing. Its just amazing that the two are now together!! The cover is AMAZING!! Looking forward to her POV of vampires and to read more of her writing again. If you haven't yet you should check out her The Iron Fey series its awesome!!

-Information from  Goodreads.com

My Thoughts:
This was a refreshing novel for me. Even though it was filled with such heartache and sadness. I couldn't put it down for a second. Brie loses her life by her heart literally breaking when her boyfriend Jacob dumps her.She is thrown into the afterlife and wanting to have her old life back. She meets Patrick, a guy who has been waiting for Brie. Although she doesn't remember him there is a clue the nightmare she has every year on the same day.

Brie goes through the stages of grieve. She tries to get back at those whom she felt did her wrong. She learns that getting even wasn't the best idea.

Will she get the chance to make things right? If you have to read to find out. The ending made me tear up.

What a heartbreaking debut for 2012!!

"HER WORLD IS CHANGED FOREVER

Callie lost her parents when the Spore Wars wiped out everyone between the ages of twenty and sixty. She and her little brother, Tyler, go on the run, living as squatters with their friend Michael and fighting off renegades who would kill them for a cookie. Callie's only hope is Prime Destinations, a disturbing place in Beverly Hills run by a mysterious figure known as the Old Man.

He hires teens to rent their bodies to Enders—seniors who want to be young again. Callie, desperate for the money that will keep her, Tyler, and Michael alive, agrees to be a donor. But the neurochip they place in Callie's head malfunctions and she wakes up in the life of her renter, living in her mansion, driving her cars, and going out with a senator's grandson. It feels almost like a fairy tale, until Callie discovers that her renter intends to do more than party—and that Prime Destinations' plans are more evil than Callie could ever have imagined. . . ."

-Information from Goodreads.com

My Thoughts:
Starters by Lissa Price, is a 2012 debut novel. Starters is the dystopian story of where teen(Starters) are renter for their body by renters (Enders). To give them a chance to feel young again. There was a war that took everyone out from the age of 20-60. The Enders are the only ones with jobs. Leaving the teen to do the illegal renting of their bodies at Prime Destination.

Callie Woodland the main female character has no choice but to work for Prime Destination. Because she and her little brother Tyler are orphans and Tyler is very sick. She signs up hoping to secure a payment to get them home and her brother medicine to get him well.

I got halfway through the book before the story finally starting getting interesting. I'm not sure if I will continue on or not at this point.

If you are in love with dystopains then this is a book for you.

-Information from Goodreads.com

My Thoughts:
This book didn't hold my attention very well. I could put it down and be fine without wanting to know more about the storyline and characters. I did find it to be similar with The Secret Circle meets the Gossip Girl.
The girls seduce boys in order to break their hearts to get their tears to fix the girls broken hearts.

It was an alright read, I'm glad I picked it up from the library. The cover is amazing.

My Thoughts:
I received this for review from the author.I'm not big into horror. Truth be told I avoid it all costs. However I took a risk reading this book. From the moment you start reading you are freaked out of your mind. You continue on hoping there will be end to the horror.Peter did an awesome job with the scare factor!!

I'm glad to have been given the chance to review this. Even though it took a while, I had to take breaks from reading. Yes I got scared!!

I do not know if this is a spoiler or not but to find out its based on a true story is just even more scarier!!
If you love scary books then you should totally check this out!!
