"Action-packed, blood-soaked, and thrilling, this is the dark and compelling sequel to bestselling The Murder Complex, which Booklist praised as “carefully crafted . . . chilling.”

With short, fast-paced, alternating point-of-view chapters, The Death Code starts several weeks after The Murder Complex ended. Zephyr keeps the secret about Meadow close—that if she dies, The Murder Complex will be destroyed, too. Meadow, desperate to find her brother, father, and little sister, is determined to fearlessly fight to the end, even if it means sacrificing herself and her friends, new and old. The Death Code introduces a memorable cast of secondary characters and delivers a vivid and scary thrill ride read."

My Review:
That was intense ending to a series. I'm sadden to leave Meadow and Zephyr behind. I truly loved how Lindsay wrapped up the series. There was one part towards the ending I wanted to throw the book across the room. I've never wanted to do that before. I'm so glad I read this series in 2018. I look forward to reading more of Lindsay's books in the future.

Reading Plans, and Just A Chat

I borrowed from my libary's overdrive Meet Cute by Jennifer L. Armentrout and other authors. I haven't started it yet but I will later on tonight.

Besides reading over the weekend I managed to finally finish season 9 of Supernatural.... holy crap!! I'm on season 10 because I own the DVD set. I'm always blown away by each episode. Can't wait to see how it goes.

The weather here in Central PA has been odd. Snow, Rain,Snow, Rain.... SNOW. ehhhhh you think after all these years of living here I'd be used to the snow...NOPE. I hate it!!!

Anybody else a Supernatural fan?

oooh yeah the Superbowl is next Sunday and I get a book that is one of the books I'm most excited for 2018!!!

January Wrap Up 2018

As the first month in 2018 is coming to an end. I figure it would be a great time to post my wrap up of January 2018. As previously mentioned in a few of my posts. I'm not doing a Goodreads Reading Challenge for the year or making TBR's. With that being said I am happy with the seven books I read in January. I even finished 2 series.

January Wrap Up 2018

1. The Last Stand by Rachel E. Carter 5/5 stars
The final conclusion to the Black Mage series. This one took me on hell of a ride. I am sadden to say goodbye to the characters.
2. Alice's Adventures In Wonderland by Lewis Carroll 2/5 stars
I couldn't get into this classic. I prefer the movies....(I know the horror) but hey everyone's got their own opinions.
3. The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings 5/5 stars
After hearing alot of hype of the Zenith book she cowrote with Sasha. I wanted to read the first book she ever wrote. I absolutely adored this world and the characters. I am so glad to have read this series.
4. Love Me Like This by Bella Andre 5/5 stars
This is third book in her Morrison's family series. I haven't read the first two books. But you can pick them up as standalones. I loved this heartwarming story. I always love her books.
5. The Fear Trials by Lindsay Cummings 5/5 stars
This is #0.5 in the Murder Complex series.
6. The Death Code by Lindsay Cummings 5/5 stars
I wanted to throw this book towards the ending. If you've read it you probably understand why I felt that way.
7. The Witness by Sandra Brown 5/5 stars
My sister in law got me into Sandra's books. So I pick them up whenever I am in the mood for one. I never see her twists coming and this was no exception.

Updates

I finished The Death Code by Lindsay Cummings yesterday. It was a great wrap up to the series. For the first time in my life I wanted to throw a book. Towards the end something happened I wasn't happy about. I will just leave it at that. I am sadden to say goodbye to the characters. I started The Witness by Sandra Brown. I bought it for a dollar last summer at a big flea market. It is the only own by her I own that I haven't read yet. I am 170 pages in and really liking it. I don't know if I will finish it before the weekend. But the Dewey's 24 hr readathon is this weekend. I am taking part. I don't have a set TBR. Just going to see what I can read. Maybe some short books. I have Goosebumps books I never read and some Shivers too.

I'm sure some of you know that the Philadelphia Eagles are going to the Superbowl!!! I am soooooooo happy for them!!! I see how it will end. Won't disclose that until the game is over. Are you going to be watching the game?

I will be posting a review for The Death Code soon. I also want to post some reviews of other books I've read in the past few years that I haven't written a review for on here. If there is any books I've mentioned on my blog that you would like my thoughts on please let me know. Either comment on this post or email me at booksarediamonds@yahoo.com

I cannot believe the first month of 2018 is almost over. How many books did you read in January?

So when he turns up on the doorstep of her Napa Valley bed and breakfast, she can't help but long for the happily-ever-after of her dreams.

As Taylor and Justin spend beautifully romantic mornings together watching the sun rise over the vineyards--and can't help but fall into each other's arms on wickedly sexy nights--it looks like they might finally get their chance at the love they've been waiting for. But will the secret Taylor has been keeping shatter everything in the end?"

My Review:
I received Love Me Like This from the publisher exchange for an honest review. Every time I pick up one if Bella's novel I can't help but think I won't love it as much as the previous ones. But she manages to make me love her books even more. Love Me Like This is the story about two college best friends that keep their true feelings for one another a secret for 8 years. There is some health issues for one of them. Will they speak on their love for one another? Read Love Me Like This to find out.
This was my first encounter with the Morrison family. I
absolutely loved it. I will be reading more from this series in the future. 5/5 stars. Happy Reading, Ashley
